This fall I will present a course in the truth and explain it in a logical sequence. Traditional among theologians this would be called Systematic Theology, however, I do not want anyone to feel that they need to have a higher education in theology to take this course. This course will be challenging to all, whether one is new to the faith or has developed many years of understanding. Please consider coming to the study even if you have only recently come to know Jesus as your savior and Lord.  This course which will take about 12 weeks will cover nine disciplines. The study of the Bible confirming its truth and validity, Theology, or the study of God, of Christ and the Holy Spirit. The study of salvation, sin, humanity, angels, the study of the church, and finally the study of the end times. This may be the one course that helps put it all together in a logical sequence, explaining what God is up to in saving people and settling them in eternity. I plan to start this course on the 26th of September at 10am at the church house.

Dr. Kenneth Terry

As road trips wind down, travelers start thinking about the work waiting for them back home. The ancient Israelites were no exception. The books of Numbers and Deuteronomy recount how the nation of Israel wandered in the wilderness for four decades and how God taught them to be His people as they approached the promised land. He wanted to remind them how much still needed to be done once they got “home.” As you study these final two books of the Pentateuch, ask God to show you what He longs to accomplish in you and through you. Learn how to avoid a life of spiritual wandering and embrace the best He has to offer.

NEW SURVEY COURSE ON THE GOSPEL OF JOHN
Starts Sunday Morning, September 28
Meets in the Church Auditorium, Sundays, 9 to 10 A.M.
Michael Hays, Instructor

John’s narrative is unique among the four Gospels and bridges the gap between Christ’s ministry to the Jews and His establishment of the Church. Building his Gospel around seven miracles performed by Jesus, John presents Christ to us as the eternal Son of God who came down from heaven to save sinners by His death on a cross. Most of the book concentrates on Christ’s ministry in Jerusalem rather than in Galilee. In this course we will examine basic facts about the book and then explore its message to us chapter by chapter. If you want to learn more about this awesome portrait of our Savior (including the real meaning of John 3:16), come and join us as we take a jog through John.
